Is this legal? Can I drive home with bottled cocktails?
It sure is! Kansas Governor Laura Kelly signed an executive order on 22 April that permitted the sale of spirits to-go from businesses with a liquor license. Bottled cocktails are subject to certain requirements to be considered legally sealed, and we are packaging drinks above and beyond those requirements to assuage any concerns related to "open containers."
Can I tip you guys on the drinks?
Yes, and thank you for asking! You can choose from a percentage tip when you place your order, or a custom tip amount if you are feeling extra generous. This is a tough time for most folks in the service industry, and we deeply, deeply appreciate it.
Is there a minimum or maximum order?
No, but there are limited amounts of these drinks, so if you're ordering more than ~75 oz of a single drink, we may have to make some adjustments (with your consent).
Can I place an order with a scheduled pickup time?
Yes! This is an option at checkout.
Can I just walk up to the door and order?
If the green light above our door is on, yes! Knock and we will be able to open our "speakeasy window" and take your order. Since all cocktails are bottled to order, we request additional patience and understanding if you choose this option.
How do I drink the cocktails at home?
Each drink is very lightly diluted–a little less than the amount we would dilute normally just by shaking or stirring–and can be poured over ice at home with no additional garnish. Drinks that would typically require a citrus peel expression have food-grade citrus oil included in the bottled drink.
Will the drinks go bad if I buy a large size and keep it for a while?
All of these drinks are designed to be stable and keep in a refrigerator for up to 3 months.
Do you deliver?
We unfortunately cannot deliver cocktails, per the state's executive order.
I have certain allergies or dietary restrictions; will I have problems with these?
Some, but not all, of the drinks on this menu utilize a technique called "milk washing" that leaves residual whey protein in the drinks. This adds richness and makes the drinks stable when refrigerated. The milk fats that pose an issue for those who are lactose sensitive or intolerant are removed, and the remaining whey contains less than 1% lactose. Gluten allergies will also not pose an issue, as gluten does not survive the distillation process, and thus all of the spirits and liqueurs we use are gluten free.
